Friends in High Places

When I first started painting exterior I noticed this little pepper colored spider that enjoyed watching me paint. I was up on the 2nd story painting away as he sat in a small crack with his two front legs dangling.

Now I see this same type of small spider on a lot of houses. They don't run from you like the bigger black ones do. They seem to be more like pets who like to watch you work.

My wife was helping me one day and she noticed a spider in the plants. She said she could tell he was mad at here because she was invading his home.

There seems to be a whole other world out there among the bugs when you paint outside. I still like to keep my distance around large bumble bees and hornets.
